University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We're responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.
Position Summary:
Temporary, exempt, benefited position through June 30, 2023 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).
Salary: $5200.00 per month.
Location: CSUSB- San Bernardino and Palm Desert campuses.
Program Description:
The CSUSB College Corps will provide 75 college students, annually, with service opportunities in critical issue areas such as climate action, K-12 education, and COVID-19 recovery. Students who complete a year of service will receive up to $10,000 while gaining valuable experience serving in their communities. CSUSB is one of 45 inaugural higher education institutions participating in this service-based college opportunity program designed to help create debt-free college pathways for low-income students who commit to serve.
Work Schedule
40 hours per week. Schedule to be arranged, but typically, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm though some nights, weekend work may be required.

Typical Activities
Under minimal supervision of the PI the Assistant Director will work independently to:
Under the supervision of the Primary Investigator, the Assistant Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the ongoing operations of the CSUSB California College Corp Program. Responsibilities include:
Support the recruitment, training, evaluation and oversight of 75 Fellows per year;
Recruitment, development and cultivation of community partnerships, including the identification of/and coordination with host sites;
Direct oversight to program staff including a Program Coordinator, Program Administrative Coordinator, Student Assistants, Communications Specialist and Data Specialist;
Completes all reports in accordance with funding agency requirements;
Develop and update policies and procedures;
Work with the PI and district and community partners to ensure that contracts are created, revised and implemented appropriately;
Ensures all project records are accurately maintained, reported and organized;
Actively participates in staff and regional consortium meetings, retreats, and professional development conferences;
Provides regular updates regarding the status of recruitment, placements, partnerships, and budget;
Travel throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties required;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree
Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of progressively responsible experience working in outreach and/or advising programs with no less than two (2) years' experience cultivating partnerships with K-12 and college partners.
Additional Qualifications: Applicants must have strong organizational, management, leadership, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; Applicants must have the ability to analyze problems and resolve conflict; Ability to do long range planning; Develop implementation procedures; Establish rapport and positive working relationships with community partners, campus departments, faculty members, administrators, teachers, counselors, outreach staff, and Fellows. Knowledge and proficiency in implementing and delivering services through hybrid formats (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.). Proficiency in the use of distance/virtual learning/engagement platforms (i.e., Instagram Live, Facebook Live, etc.). Knowledge and experience in online/hybrid pedagogy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree. Demonstrated supervisory experience.

CSU policy requires all faculty, staff and students (on or off campus) to be immunized (i.e. vaccinated) against the virus that causes COVID-19.
As part of the campus community, CSUSB requires all UEC employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or present a medical or religious exemption and any appropriate back up documentation. Fully vaccinated is defined as having the last immunization shot at least 14 days prior to the date being evaluated. Current and new employees of UEC are required to adhere to this policy by September 20, 2021 and remain in adherence after that date. All employees are also required to submit a daily health screen to access any on or off campus location.
